Organization for Aid to Refugees

A long-standing supporter of refugees and other migrants who find themselves in difficult situations. Has branches in Prague, Brno, Plzeň and Ostrava.

ADRA

International humanitarian organization active in more than 130 countries and in 50 cities across the Czech Republic.

Most PRO

Provides social counselling for foreigners in the city of Pardubice and surrounding region, informs about educational opportunities, organizes classes and seminars.

Caritas Czech Republic

Helps people in need both here and abroad; provides a wide array of social and health services; implements development cooperation.

Provides a range of educational, cultural and informational activities related to diversity, history and migration. Runs independent research on integration of foreigners and the prevention of discrimination.

Association for Integration and Migration

Defends the rights and interests of refugees and migrants. Apart from providing counselling it also targets the wider public with educational activities and publications.

InBáze

A community and counseling center for migrants, providing an open and safe environment for people of various cultural backgrounds, along with psycho-social and legal aid. Runs the popular annual multicultural festival RefuFest in Prague.

META: Association for Opportunities of Young Migrants

Advocates for equal opportunities of migrants, in particular with regards to education. Specialized in inclusion of migrant children in Czech schools.

Amnesty International (Czech branch)

Global volunteer-based movement uniting human rights defenders. Runs campaigns, organizes public events, stands up for victims of injustice.

Agency for Migration and Adaptation

A volunteer-based center established by foreigners living in the Czech Republic. Provides volunteering opportunities and social activities for migrants.

Nesehnutí

Independent Social Ecological Movement based in Brno. Supports active people interested in public affairs, aiming to build a society based on respect for people, animals and nature.

Diakonie

Charity of the Evangelical Church of Czech Bretheren. Runs programs supporting people seeking protection and work opportunities in the Czech Republic, helps prevent labor exploitation of foreigners.

La Strada

Active in the field of people trafficking, provides social and legal services in the field, does prevention and education on the issue.

People in Need

A professional humanitarian organization which provides aid in places of crisis, promotes respect for human rights and is involved in public awareness-raising.

Helping People on the Move

Originally a grassroots initiative founded in 2015 to bring Czech volunteers to border crossings in the Balkan region with the aim of providing material aid to refugees on the move through Europe. Currently it also provides information to the media and public.

Atlas of Today's World

Online project, originally founded by Charles University students, providing analytical and contextualized information on various issues concerning migration and stories of real people.

Doktor Chekhov

A non-profit organization created to provide information support to doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other medical professionals who intend to continue their professional career in the Czech Republic.

Dignity Restoring Hope

Czech-based NGO dedicated to providing aid, support and care to displaced people seeking shelter from war, terror and persecution. Dignity was founded in 2018 and during its existence has worked with many people of multiple backgrounds, languages and faiths.

Kalyna – Komunitní uprchlické centrum

A Community Refugee Centre which strives to help the Ukrainians fleeing the war to find safety in Pardubice and helps them to live in decent conditions until they can return home.

Centre for Integration of Foreigners

A non-profit organization that has been helping foreigners to integrate into society since 2003 through comprehensive services, especially social and employment counselling, Czech language courses and other activities. It operates in Prague, Central Bohemia and Liberec region.

Iniciativa hlavák

Iniciativa Hlavák is a group of volunteers helping people who were forced to leave their houses. The connecting element is the route through Prague's Main Railway Station. Whether they come directly from countries afflicted by war, poverty, or come to the station after being released from Czech detention facilities, refugee camps, or the foreign police, we are here to help.

Kroky Dobra

We help refugee children from Ukraine to adapt and take the first STEPS towards integration into Czech society.
